Venue
With the exception of the poster session, all activities of the workshop will take place in room 222 of the Boyd Orr Building. The poster session will be held in the Maths&Stats Building. Coffee breaks will be host in the Wolfson Medical School Building Atrium.

Boyd Orr Building (main workshop venue)
- Accessibility
- A fully step-free entrance is available from Lilybank Gardens.
In case of emergency
- Proceed calmly to the assembly point at the corner of University Avenue and Ashton Road.
- An automated external defibrillator is mounted just outside the janitors’ office on the ground floor.
- University of Glasgow staff and students should open the SafeZone phone application to alert Security if assistance is required.
Mathematics and Statistics Building (poster session venue)
Accessibility
- A passenger lift serves every level.
- The main entrance has electric doors; they lock at 17:00, so please re-enter with a valid University ID card.
In case of emergency
- Each staircase has a refuge area at the top for anyone who needs to wait for assistance.
- The assembly point for this building is outside the British Heart Foundation Building on University Place.
Atrium, Woolfson Building (coffee-break area)
- The Atrium is on the ground floor and is completely step-free.
- If the fire alarm sounds, leave by the nearest exit and gather at the bench area directly outside the main entrance.
Lunch
Kindly note that lunch is not provided, but a list with reccomendations for restaurants and delis close to our venue can be found below.
Both the Adam Smith Building (BO) and the School of Mathematics and Statistics are very close to Byres Road, a vibrant street with lots of restaurants, delis, shops, and tea/coffee shops. Here is a list with some recommendations, but feel free to walk along the street and see what is out there. They are all within walking distance from the workshop venue. Please consult the corresponding websites for menu details/dietary requirements.
Dinner recommendations
For drinks or dinner, you can explore the Byres Road area, take a short stroll to Finnieston, or hop on the subway to visit the city centre.
